おかえりプロジェクト大船渡展【展示準備】Exhibiton "OKAERI Project in Ofunato" - exhibit preparation

いよいよ明日から「おかえりプロジェクト　大船渡展」が開催されます！！

"OKAERI Project in Ofunato" starts tomorrow.

This morning, 3 committee members of OKAERI Project visited

Tokai Shimpo and the major of Ofunato city.

悪天候の中、今朝8時過ぎに岩手県立美術館を出発した400冊を超えるアルバム達は12時前には大船渡に到着いたしました！！

”世界14カ国からようこそ！大船渡へ！”

250人以上の製本家達が東日本大震災で被災した方々へ”なにか自分達にできる事はないか？！という想いから
始まったこの「おかえりプロジェクト」
世界各国から被災地の皆様へいろんな想いを込めてつくられた手つくりの創作アルバムが東京へ送られ、東京製本倶楽部の有志一同の皆様により作品のデータ化、ナンバリング、リストの作成、その他細かい作業が続けられました。
そして、3月3日より岩手県立美術館で展示され・・・
今日、最終目的地の大船渡に到着しました！
（現地運営委員、感動で胸がいっぱいです・・・）

明日から、いよいよ展示会です。
全てのアルバムが被災された皆様の”家族”として迎えられ、そして「家族の歴史」または「新しい家族の記録」を収める大切な品となってくれる事を希望します。








大船渡市民文化会館の「おかえりプロジェクト大船渡展」担当の近江さん。
キャット・ウォークに”東京製本倶楽部”の紹介パネルを展示してくださいました。


同館内にある大船渡市立図書館にも「おかえりプロジェクト」の作品が20展、展示してあります。

展示作業終了後、みんなで記念撮影。お疲れ様でした！
※運営委員の伊東陽子さんは展示期間中、遠野から通ってくださるので（片道約1時間）暗くなる前に帰られたため集合写真には入っておりません。次回は是非！










































In the bad weather, over 400 photo albums had left Iwate Museum of Art sometime after8 o'clock, and arrived Ofunato before 12 o'clock.

"Welcome to Ofunato from 14 countries around the world!"

More than 250 bookbinders decided to do something for the 3.11 victims and OKAERI Project has started. Hand-made photo albums were sent to Tokyo from all over the world, data of all albums have been compiled by some volunteer staff of Tokyo Bookbinding Club, all albums were numbered, several lists were made, and other detailed works have been 

carried. 

These were followed by the exhibition in Iwate Museum of Art starting the 3rd of March, and finally, the albums arrived in Ofunato, the final destination.

(Local committee member is filled with emotion!)

The exhibition in Ofunato starts tomorrow. We expect all albums to be welcomed by the victims as their "family", and to become a precious item for put the" family history" and "memories of new family".

 Mr. Oumi, who is in charge of the exhibiton "OKAERI Project in Ofunato" at the Ofunato City Hall. He displayed a panel to introduce Tokyo Bookbinding Club on the catwalk.

20 photo albums of the Okaeri Project is exhibited in the Ofunato City Library in the same building.  Please have a look! (Those exhibited in the library will be also donated.)

You will find some albums on the shelf behind the library counter!

A commemorative photo was taken when the display work finished. Well done to you all!

Yoko Ito, a committee member, is not on the photo, as she commutes from Tohno (1 hour away) during the exhibition period and left the venue before it got dark.
