世界14か国、約250名の製本作家が、東日本大震災のがれきの中から発見された多くの写真たちのためにアルバムを創作、展示、被災地へ贈る計画「おかえりプロジェクト」。このプロジェクトにあなたも参加してみませんか。

フランスのマーブル紙作家が寄付してくれたマーブル紙を用いて折本仕立てのアルバムを作ります。

参加者を募集しています。

対象： 高校生以上、一般

定員： 20名

参加費： 500円

Album-making workshop

Would you like to take part in the OKAERi Project, too? In the

workshop, participants make photo albums with concertina binding using

handmade marbled paper donated by a French marbler.

写真洗浄ボランティア募集 Call for photo cleaning volunteers

「おかえりプロジェクト」を通じて被災者の方々に贈呈されるアルバムには、津波で流され多くのボランティアによって洗浄・救済された写真が収まることと思います。

水や泥で汚れた写真プリント・アルバムを洗浄し、持ち主を探す活動を支援する"写真救済プロジェクト"（富士フイルム株式会社）の、東京での作業のボランティア募集のお知らせです。

以前ボランティアとして参加したM.S.さんの体験談：

「プロジェクトに参加してみて、小さな一片の印画紙の薄いインクの層には計り知れないほどの人やモノや場所の記憶が詰まっているのだと、改めて気付かされました。自分が携われた写真はほんのわずかですが、一枚でも多くの写真が救われ、一人でも多くの方の手に戻って欲しいと願わずにはいられません。」。

"OKAERI PROJECT"'s albums for the 3.11 victims will store photographs damaged by the earthquake/tsunami. The photos have went through cleaning process by a number of volunteers.

FUJIFILM Corporation promotes "Photo Rescue Projecct" to give support for cleaning damaged photo prints and photo albums. Here is an announcement of their coming session in Tokyo.

Maki's comment who joined a session last year:

"I realised that immeasurable memories of people, goods and venues are contained in the photographic paper's thin ink layer. Number of photos I engaged in was limited, but I desperately wish as many photographs as possible to be cleaned and returned to the owners."

写真洗浄ボランティアに参加して Experiencing photo cleaning as a volunteer

被災地の大船渡など各地で、被災写真の救済・洗浄活動が行われています。

富士フイルム株式会社は、水や泥で汚れた写真プリント・アルバムを洗浄し、持ち主を探す活動を支援する"写真救済プロジェクト"を行っています。これまでに約60か所の避難所などを訪問し、物資の提供や洗浄指導を行ったほか、より多くの被災者への写真返還方法の改良などを行っておられます。

東京のアートセンター3331 Arts Chiyodaで行われたワークショップに参加しました。写真を洗浄して干すことと、乾いた写真をポケットアルバムに入れて、内容がわかるようにする作業をそれぞれ別々の日に行いました。

写真洗浄ボランティアを体験したM.K.さんは、写真の意味を考えたといいます。どの写真もみんな笑っていて、”写真はハッピーなときにしか撮らない”と、改めて気づいたそうです。

Many people in and around Ofunato have been involved in the cleaning activity of the photo prints damaged with seawater or mud.

FUJIFILM Corporation promotes "Photo Rescue Projecct" to give support for cleaning damaged photo prints and photo albums. They have visited around 60 evacuation centres in order to provide goods and guidance about photo cleaning, and to improve the method for returning photos to victim of the disaster.

Their workshops have been held at 3331 Arts Chiyoda in Tokyo. Volunteers have been engaged in cleaning and drying photo prints and in setting the prints into easily-made albums.

Miki, a volunteer who joined a session says;

"I've been to photo cleaning volunteer to clean photos lost and damaged by tsunami. They are photos from wedding, family gathering, kid's birthday .. I noticed that We take photos when we are happy. We don't take photos when we are sad. So photo = happy. isn't it interesting?"

ユメノマチ Yume No Machi (Dream town)

おかえりプロジェクトが開催される岩手県立美術館では、震災後全ての企画展を中止して予算を復興支援に回し、この状況でもできることをしたいとアートを被災地へ届ける「あーとキャラバン」活動をされています。その成果でもある「アートデオヤコ拡大版『ユメノマチ』ができるまで」がグランドギャラリーで展示されています。私たちの「おかえりプロジェクト」もこのギャラリーに展示される予定です。「ユメノマチ」と世界中で作られているアルバムが出会うまで、まだまだつながり広がって行きます。

Okaeri Albums will be exhibited in the grand gallery, Iwate Museum of Art.

Iwate has been severely affected by the devastating earthquake and tsunami. After the earthquake, the museum shifted budget to reconstruction support by canceling all originally planned exhibitions.

The museum has been proactive in 'Art caravan", an outreach programme delivering art projects to the disaster area.
　"Until 'Yume no machi (Dream town)' appears" is one of the programme's outcome currently exhibited in the grand gallery. More and more, linkage is expanding until the albums from many parts of the world meet the 'Yume no machi'.
